I believe textiles for your home can be both beautiful and sustainable
Kate graduated in 2000 with a degree in Textile design & Weaving from Winchester School of Art after which she moved to London to work for a leading woven textile design studio designing woven textiles for the fashion and interior markets & travelling the world selling to clients such as Gap, Calvin Klein, Boden & Ralph Lauren to name a few!
After a short break to have her first child Kate went on to work for Debenhams and over the next 8 years designed the mens formal wear and shirting ranges before going it alone as a freelance designer with Debenhams & Tu at Sainsburys as her main clients.
A concern with the impact that the textile industry was having on the environment led Kate to design her own range of textiles with an emphasis on heritage & sustainability. Driven by todays mass produced throw away culture and the fact that our traditional crafts are fast disappearing there is now a movement dedicated to reviving these ancient crafts with slow living at its heart.
"Created in response to todays fast fashion culture my goal is to create clean traceable products that are beautiful unique and will last a lifetime just getting better with age."
